Who We Are

"What we Believe"

Our Purpose:

The West Main Church of Christ is an autonomous congregation of Christians, not a part of any denomination. We are a local body of the Lord’s Church and a small part of the one Church that Jesus founded and died for on the cross (1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Matthew 16:18). At West Main, we attempt to follow the Bible as our guide (See section on doctrine). So what does the Bible tell us about the purpose of the Church? Before we answer these questions, it is essential to note that being a member of the Church, a Christian, is much more than simply attending the weekly church services. Christ called His followers to be people of action.

Our mission as a congregation includes four priorities:
1. Worship God
2. Evangelize the Lost
3. Edify the Church
4. Engage in Benevolence
